Listed here are a few Audio freeware programmes you may find useful, some of which I am using now.

Video mp3 Extractor

Video mp3 Extractor is easy to use tool to extract audio from Video AVI, ASF, WMV files. Output audio file is mp3, and you can listen extracted audio with your mp3 player without any additional conversion or modification. Video mp3 Extractor provide simple and fast method to rip audio from video and save as MP3.

MP3+G to ZIP pairs the MP3 and CDG files created when you rip a CD+G and creates a single ZIP file from them, saving a considerable amount of space while making your karaoke collection more organizable.

It looks up missing track information via Freedb and the web, and includes an intelligent tag editor and an automated file and directory renamer to organize your music library. It includes a CD ripper and audio converter for saving music, and manual or automated playlist editors for creating music mixes. Its player automatically adjusts volume levels so that you don't have continually fiddle with the volume control and supports hundreds of Winamp plug-ins and visualizations; or if you prefer, it can use Winamp as the default player. It integrates with Nero for CD Burning, and new to version 2.2, synchronizes tracks and playlists with portable audio devices.

This version of Audiograbber has been released as freeware - previous versions were shareware.
Audiograbber is a beautiful piece of software that grabs digital audio from cd's. It copies the audio digitally-not through the soundcard which enables you to make perfect copies of the originals. It can even perform a test to see that the copies really are perfect. Audiograbber can also automatically normalize the music, delete silence from the start and/or end of tracks, and send them to a variety or external MP3 encoders, such as Fraunhofers L3enc, or even use some MP3/WMA encoders internally for automatic creation of MP3's. Audiograbber can download and upload disc info from freedb, an Internet compact disc database. You can even record your vinyl LP's or cassette tapes with Audiograbber and make wav's or MP3's of them. There are a lot more functions in Audiograbber, but to put it simply: Audiograbber has the most features one can wish from such a program!

vanBasco's Karaoke Player

vanBasco's Karaoke Player is a freeware product that plays Karaoke (.kar) and standard MIDI (.mid, .midi, .rmi) files.

QCD (Quintessential) Player

QCD has a fully skinnable interface that covers a powerful plug-in architecture. QCD's flexibility allows it to be as simple or as feature rich as you like.
QCD has full support for many audio formats and includes crossfading and gapless CD Audio playback. It also includes a powerful batch tag editor and the best CDDBv2 integration available today.

This is a must have program for Windows 95/98/NT/2000, when you want to copy music from your PC to your MiniDisc. It automatically adds some seconds of silence between each track, your MD will recognize this and continue at the next track. In addition the program supports Mp3's ID3, and M3U Playlists, and allows you to remove seconds or fade the end of a song.
